Poplars Farm Primary School

We are a friendly and inclusive primary school in Bradford, West Yorkshire with over 250 children, aged 3 to 11 years. In 2018, we began our journey to expansion; to become a two form entry school. Our school motto is, ‘Together we aspire, learn and grow’. We strive to create a safe, positive and inspiring learning environment, where each pupil will develop a love of learning and an enquiring mind. Our engaging, creative curriculum sets out to challenge and motivate our pupils and enables them to participate in the widest range of high quality learning opportunities.

We are an inclusive school here at Poplars Farm Primary School. We believe that all children have an equal right to a broad curriculum which will enable them to reach their full potential. We use our best endeavours to secure special educational provision that respond to the needs of the individual child. These needs are grouped into the four main areas: 1. Cognition and learning- learning support for children experiencing challenges with reading, writing and maths. This includes provision for pupils struggling with fine motor skills. 2. Communication and interaction- speech and language support for children experiencing communication difficulties. This includes children with specific needs such as those with autism spectrum conditions. 3. Social, mental and emotional health- for children experiencing social, emotional and behaviour difficulties. 4. Sensory, physical and medical- we provide for children with various physical and medical needs. Currently these include children with severe allergies. Provision for pupils with special educational needs is a matter for the whole school; the governing body, the Head teacher, the SENDCO, class teachers and all members of staff.
