Step 2 Young People’s Health

What does it do?
We offer a range of services for children and young people to support, educate and raise awareness of sexual health related issues and to improve emotional well-being. This includes offering a full counselling service for young people aged 11-18yrs to support all aspects of emotional well-being. Services operate from our premises in Tong Street and at a number different community settings, including schools, youth clubs, health centres and community centres. We also use an Outreach Bus to take our service to young people in the community. We work with young people as individuals, in groups or in whole classes. We deliver some formal programmes, but all programmes are adaptable to suit the needs of the young people we work with. The counselling service is available at our community settings and we are also able to provide a counselling service in Primary and Secondary Schools. In addition, we offer training and resources to other professionals around various issues relating to Sexual Health and Emotional Well Being. We also offer supervision to professionals working with vulnerable young people.

Who is it for?
Our services are available for young people aged 11-18 yrs (up to 25yrs for Sexual Health). Our training packages and supervision service are available to any professionals working with children and young people
