What does it do?

Listening Books is a national UK charity providing an audiobook library service, catering for anyone who finds that an illness, disability, learning difficulty or mental health condition impacts on their ability to read or hold a book. Our library has 1000s of wonderful fiction, non-fiction and educational titles for ages 7 upwards. This includes study guides and set texts supporting the National Curriculum from Key Stage 2 to A Level and popular authors such as JK Rowling, Malorie Blackman, Roald Dahl and Jacqueline Wilson. Many of our titles are recorded in-house, in our state of the art studios and are unavailable elsewhere.

Members can borrow titles in three easily accessible ways:

1. Sent directly through the post on MP3 CD with no postage costs or late fees

2. Downloaded to a portable device like a phone or tablet

3. Streamed online via a laptop or computer Our membership fees range from £20 - £45 per year.

For anyone who would find it difficult to cover our membership fees for any reason, we can assist with free memberships. A free membership includes both online and postal options, so members can choose what works.
