Who is it for?

We have the knowledge, skills and resources in the Audiology Service to be able to deliver a quality care to patients suffering with hearing loss and / or Tinnitus, including tinnitus assessment and management. We assess your hearing levels and the problems associated with this. We are able to provide advice and information on your hearing and develop an individual management plan with the aim to fitting the patient with a hearing aid (s). We also offer help, support and advice for family members. We provide the latest digital hearing aids and offer an in depth, full after care programme. Service developments are driven through feedback from patients via regular patient satisfaction questionnaires and a ‘comments’ box in the department.

Via your own GP, we also see patients referred from ENT (Ear Nose & Throat) doctors and other medical professionals, including Heath Visitors and School nurses etc. If you are fitted with a hearing aid, then you can access our department directly and we readily have appointments available from 08:15 to 17:30, Monday to Friday at Airedale, we also offer appointments at our out-reach community clinics - these are booked via the Audiology Department at Airedale.

Who will patients meet?

When you arrive for your Audiology appointment, you will be greeted by a Receptionist and will meet an Audiologist at each appointment.

Any procedure you are asked to undertake will be fully explained beforehand and verbal consent will be requested.
