TCES National Online School

The Complete Education Solution (TCES) is a social enterprise providing independent education through our Good schools and specialist services for neurodiverse pupils aged 7 to 19.

Based in London and the South East, the majority of our places are funded by Local Authorities. We are committed to achieving the best outcome for each pupil and their family through access to outstanding education and family support.

TCES - The Complete Education Solution - is a social enterprise providing Therapeutic Education to neurodiverse pupils at our five schools and services in and around London and nationally via TCES National Online School, supporting students who are often marginalised and fall through the education net.

Our therapeutic approach nurtures and supports pupils to find their talents and skills and give them the best opportunities for positive social, emotional, and academic outcomes. We never exclude pupils; we never give up on them.

The TCES National Online School offers a full curriculum and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 5 to 25 who are unable to attend school. This can be for a variety of reasons and can be linked to school anxiety, special educational needs, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), or where a current school isn't meeting needs. Pupils on our programmes typically have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but we also support those either at the start of the EHCP process or without an EHCP.

We offer the core subjects of English, Maths and Science plus additional subjects and we can support pupils to take GCSEs and A levels, including providing invigilators in the family home where needed. Our experienced and qualified therapy team offers Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy and psychodynamic therapies (e.g. Art and Drama Therapy) based on our assessments of each child's need.

The TCES National Online School approach

Our team work collaboratively with each pupil and their family (plus school and Local Authority where appropriate) to create an online education programme which can include therapy where required. This will be regularly reviewed to ensure that it continues to meet the child or young person's needs.

Our aim is for each child or young person we support to be able to re-engage with education and move back into an appropriate school setting. In 2021/2, after an average placement of six months, almost 80% of TCES Online School pupils were ready to reintegrate to school or college.

Parent feedback
