Young People's Marketplace, Thursday 8th September 2022, 3pm until 6pm in City Park Bradford BD1
Young People's Marketplace are holding an event for the community, young people with LD and their parents/carers where they can access lots of information about services available to them, support they can receive, social prescribing, activities and hobbies and learn more about routine health checks and more on Thursday 8th September 2022, 3pm until 6pm in City Park Bradford BD1.
We have invited lots of organisations from across the district to promote their services.
We will be running the following activities:
Promote YPSP and the YP service
Self Care Counter Activity
Spin the healthy wheel
Smoothie Bike
Glitter Face Paints
Giant Connect 4
Warm homes healthy people
Promoting diabetes and other health messages
Summer trip to Lotherton Hall, Tuesday 2nd August, 9.30 to 4.00
Lotherton Hall has a bird sanctuary, wildlife world, children ‘s play area, woodland gardens, large open grass areas, café, small fun fare rides….lots to explore. We are asking for a booking fee of £2 per person per trip towards the cost of transport for this trip. If this presents financial difficulties to any family please let us know. We do not wish for any family to miss out because of cost. Volunteers will be available to help but families are responsible for the care and safety of their own children. The minibuses will leave our centre in Bingley at 9.30am and return for 4pm. Bring a picnic lunch. Cars can be left in the car park. If you require help getting to the car park please let us know. You are also welcome to travel by your own transport and meet us there
Summer party, Saturday 13th August, 10am to 12pm
On Saturday 13th August, 10am to 12pm we will be holding our family summer party at Bingley Methodist Church, BD16 4JS. All families welcome to join us for a fun filled morning with soft play, party games and party food! Transport provided if required.
Summer Celebration Event, Tuesday 16th August, 12pm-2pm at Victoria Hall in Saltaire.
As part of our programme of events, we hold an annual social event to celebrate our wonderful members and the journey we’ve all been on over the year. During the pandemic we held our summer social event virtually, but we are excited to return to a face-to-face event in August 2022! We’re looking forward to inviting existing and new members to join us for food, family entertainment & activities, time to talk and meet new people, alongside some music, a raffle and more.
We know that the best-connected families have the best outcomes, so let's get together and have some fun!

Disability Action Yorkshire - Holiday Club activities
Our holiday club focuses on fun, whilst fostering an enriching environment which promotes co-operation, participation, ‘have a go’ attitudes and positivity. We enable disabled people to come together within an encouraging environment, form friendships, learn new skills and above all- enjoy the activities and experiences on offer while increasing in confidence.

Specialist Inclusion Project and Nell Bank Charitable Trust are delighted to invite you to our Family Fun Day!
If you are a family of any shape or size living in the Bradford District with a child with a disability, we would love you to come along for a day of fully inclusive fun in nature. Fire lighting with flint and steel available for those interested – please ask.
The site is fully accessible with its own hygiene suite available for use. Register with SIPs staff on arrival to let us know you’re here.
Our teams will be out and about every weekday over the summer holidays visiting different local parks and green spaces providing FREE fun activities for children and young people.
Activities will run from 11am to 3pm and will include bouncy castles, sports games and coaching, climbing tower, dance sessions, arts and crafts, adventure play, giant games and lots more.
The activities are aimed at 5 – 14 year olds. Free, healthy packed lunches will be available 12.30 – 1.30pm, subject to demand. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their own children.
