Keighley 'Surviving Summer' Family Resource Conference

'Surviving Summer' is a free conference for community, voluntary and statutory practitioners to come together for an information and knowledge exchange aimed at supporting our more vulnerable families to thrive over the summer holidays.

As the summer holidays approach, for thousands of local families the six-week school break can be marred by acute financial stress and the threat of holiday hunger.

The conference will be opened by the Lord Mayor Cllr Doreen Lee with guest speakers Cathy Henwood from Healthy Holidays giving the national and local picture of holiday provision and family support. The event will be closed by John Grogan MP for Keighley.

Through four workshops, delegates will explore and exchange knowledge about support and provision available locally to help our families thrive during the holidays.
