Short Breaks (Social Inclusion Project) Stakeholder Advert – Young People

22 Nov 2022,

Are you a young person with SEND in Bradford?

Do you go to a football group? Dance? Youth Club? Would you like a say in what SEND Short Breaks look like?

Do you not go to Short Breaks as there isn’t anything you want to do? Do you want to change that?

If the answer is YES! We would like to ask for your help

An opportunity has arisen for 4 young people to help review the current Short Breaks (Social Inclusion Project) provision and help shape the new provision planned to start in summer 2023.

We are looking for:

  • You will be a SEND young person in the district of Bradford aged 8-18 years
  • You can be currently accessing a Short Breaks club or group, or have previously accessed a short break.

Our expectations:

  • You would have some face to face meetings with the Social Inclusion Project (SIP) Team to talk about clubs, groups and planning.

What you can expect:

  • Have a say in your Short Break whilst having fun!
  • Gain some experiences that may help you with education or work applications
  • We will make any adaptations you need to support you to take part

If you’d like to take part please send an email to  ChildrensCommissioning@bradford.gov.uk  no later than 6th December 2022  with your name and contact details and a member of the SIP team will give you a call to discuss.
