Introduction to Down syndrome training

16 Sep 2021,

Please find below our training schedule for this academic year.

Training | Down Syndrome Training and Support Service Ltd (downsyndromebradford.com)

Our first course is the ‘Introduction to Down syndrome’ (22nd Sept) vital training for all involved with children and young people with Down syndrome.

The day covers what Down syndrome is, health implications and how these may impact on education and development, the learning profile of a person with Down syndrome – strengths and challenges, and managing/modifying behaviours.

The session will also include a brief look at teaching methods and resources – however these are covered in more detail with further training later in the term – including literacy, signing and number skills.
