Activity

Do you have a summer holiday activity for children and young people with SEND in the Bradford district?

The Bradford Local Offer would like to promote your events through our website in plenty of time for Parent/ Carers and Children & Young People to plan their summer holiday. Please send details, including dates, times, any costs involved and if there is a need to register to localoffer@bradford.gov.uk

AWARE Summer Holiday Guide 2023

We know that the summer holidays can feel long and daunting for any family, and for autistic people and their families it can feel extra challenging.

We have complied this guide to help you find activities for you and your family to get the very best out of your summer.


We will be providing 3 days of activities:
July 26th, 27th and 28th
10am - 3pm each day.
It costs £30 for the three days.
We may have single day tickets at a later point

Summat Creative - make : move : include : Summer activity project

We are running a holiday club for young people with mild to moderate Learning Disabilities and / or Neurodiversity.

We will provide a range of indoor and outdoor activities such as drama, cycling, yoga, dance, sports and art. All taught in small groups of 5 (ish). Staff ratio no less than 1:3.

24 July to 1 September

Activities are aimed at 5 to 14 years-olds and will run from 11am to 3pm every day.

Free Summer of Fun for children planned for parks and green spaces

Bradford Council will be hosting a series of free activity-packed fun days in parks across the length and breadth of the district over the school holiday.

The HAF Summer of Fun events will feature sports inflatables, sports games, arts and crafts, dance sessions, adventure play, a climbing tower and lots more!

Free, healthy packed lunches will also be available to children on benefits-related free school meals.

Charity fundraiser event | Down Syndrome T&SS

We are delighted to invite you to our charity fundraising day on Saturday 8th July.

Cost Adult £10 on the day or £8 online
Children £5 on the day or £4 on the day
People with Down Syndrome FREE

The Giant Family Picnic

Every year we have a Summer Celebration event for our members and their families to celebrate the journey they have been on. This year we will be holding a giant family picnic at The Bandstand, Lister Park, Bradford where we will have some food, music and entertainment including a creative bubble show!


Moor Time’s Holiday club runs week days from 7 August to 1 September, excluding the Bank Holiday.

Moor Time Holiday Club

The theme this summer is Living Well, sessions will be focusing on physical and mental wellbeing with lots of activities to tie in with Bradford's 20 Minute Movement campaign.

Activities will include sports, relaxation sessions, sensory play, animal therapy, Lego therapy, trips, bouncy castles, music, art and lots more.
