Thank you for volunteering to co-produce the Quality Assurance of the Bradford Local Offer

Who can get involved?

We would like your help to review Bradford’s Local Offer, so that we can improve the quality of information on the website. If you are a Child, Young Person, Parent/Carer and/or a Professional please email the LocalOffer@bradford.gov.uk directly to be included. Or If you know anyone that may be interested, please let them know about this opportunity. We will be working with SkillsHouse Bradford to create Digital badges that will recognise the skills that you will achieve and accomplish by helping us review the Local Offer. These Digital badges include those outside of formally accredited qualifications

More information about the Local Offer Refresh Project and the development of our new website is available here with links to a short survey where you can have your say on how you would like to see the website evolve.

Purpose

There are approximately 800 services, 400 of which have content published on the Local Offer, many of which were added quite some time ago, and to support the refresh of the Local Offer through 2022/2023 we need to ensure that all published service information is relevant, accurate, up to date and accessible. We are only concerned with the information a service has on the Local Offer, not an assessment of the service itself, so we are looking at as many services as possible to ensure that what is published on the Local Offer web site gives the best possible provision to our SEND community.

What are we asking you to do?

We would like you to select at least two services on the Local Offer each half term, evaluate the content and report your findings to us on the attached ‘Local Offer – Auditing Template’. Please ensure that you ‘cut & paste’ the URL of the service audited into the template so we know which service you have evaluated. We are not auditing the content of services that are just a direct link to their own web site.

Please return your completed forms to LocalOffer@bradford.gov.uk

What will we do?

Once we receive your completed evaluations we will contact the service content manager to let them know the results of your findings (but not your name) and each half term we will update this page with a summary of the services that have been audited and a general assessment of the conclusions from the whole team on a continuing basis as our quality audit continues throughout 2022/2023. Bookmark this page and check for updates regularly.

Once again, thank you for your support.

The Bradford SEND Local Offer is a free and impartial service provided by Bradford Council. The information contained within the website is available for the purposes of identifying services and provision that are available to children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This information does not represent a recommendation or an endorsement of a Service or Provider and neither does the Bradford Council or its partners make any representations or warranties as to the accuracy of the information.

Anyone seeking to use or access a service or provision is responsible for undertaking their own checks to determine the suitability and fitness for purpose of that service and provision. Some providers will be registered and inspected by external agencies, such as Ofsted or the Care Quality Commission. Anyone working with children and young people will be required to have appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service Check (the replacement for the Criminal Record Check), safeguarding policies and insurance in place, which they should make available to you on request.
