DFN Project Search - News Jan - Feb 2024
We have come to the end of a fantastic half term here at Bradford Royal Infirmary. We have opened new rotations in Cardiology, Orthopaedics admin and ward hospitality. These will give our interns even more opportunity to showcase their skills and we are hugely grateful for the engagement of infirmary staff for allowing us to provide these opportunities. All interns have had the opportunity to try a second rotation and we are very excited to showcase their talents in other areas. In class we have been learning about stock rotation, bills and how to care for our mental health. We have welcomed #andysmansclub who have taken the time to speak to the interns about the important work they do.
We are recruiting for next year
Please direct anyone you know who is between the ages of 18 and 24 who has an EHCP and might be interested in a supported internship to our application, which is currently open for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Spotlight on Danielle
Danielle has been doing her Project SEARCH rotation in Ward Hospitality within ward 28 at the hospital. She has been cooking and serving food to patients and giving hot drinks. This has been hugely rewarding for Danielle who can see the difference she is making to patients and their experience within the hospital. Her feedback has all been positive and she has taken to the role naturally. Very well done Danielle.
