Better Start Bradford

What does it do?

Better Start Bradford works with families to give children the best possible start in life in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton through a range of over 15 innovative projects to support them through pregnancy and the earliest years of their children’s lives (0-3). The projects help to improve children’s emotional and social development, communication and language development and nutrition. We are funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, using National Lottery funding, for 10 years (until 2025). All our work is being evaluated through our Innovation Hub, working in partnership with Born in Bradford. Working with local partners. We aim to leave a lasting legacy for children, families and the whole area.

Who is it for?
Families expecting babies or with children under four who live in the Better Start Bradford area of Bowling and  Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton. There is a postcode checker on the website for people to check that they are in the Better Start Bradford area.
