Why is this service different?
The Bradford's Local Offer Service and website has been co-produced and developed together by the local offer service, children and young people with SEND, parents/carers and SEND service providers across the Bradford District since 2014. Children and young people and their parent/carers co-produced the website, decided on the design, look, feel and accessibility, that it would be separate to the main council website, and what information and services to publish using the SEND Code of Practise 2014 statutory guidance in a series of workshops across the Bradford district. Once key stakeholders were happy and approved the test version on the website, it was published live. Local Offer pocket booklets and leaflets are co-produced and reviewed by key stakeholders.
The Local Offer website and its information and services published, continue to develop and evolve using the feedback gained by key stakeholders. Key stakeholders review the site and co-produce information to be published to benefit children and young people with SEND and their parent/carers.
It is more than a directory of services. It brings everything together in one place and is developed using the feedback gained by those key users.
