Bradford Independent Support Service

What does it do?

This service run by Barnardo’s in Bradford, has been set up to provide independent support to families who have children and young people with Statements of Special Educational Needs or Learning Difficulties Assessments which are being converted to Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans. The service can also support young people, parents and carers through the new process of requesting an EHC assessment and give information about personal budgets.

Who is it for?

Parents and carers of children and young people (0 – 25) with statements or LDAs may access support from the service. Children and young people may also access support for themselves.
