Parents and carers can often access financial and/or other benefits to help with additional costs that may arise from caring for a child with a disability.
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) has now replaced Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for people aged 16 to 64. Personal Independence Payment is now being introduced for new claims or if there has been a change of circumstances you will be reassessed under the new system.
For other people currently receiving Disability Living Allowance you will begin to be reassessed under the under the system from now into 2015. For more information you can click here or call 0845 850 3322 (you will be asked for details including your National Insurance number)
