Find Support groups for Families             Find Support for Families

Use the buttons above to find a number of local organisations who provide support to children and young people with additional needs and parents and carers with a child/ren who have additional needs. They usually involve activities and informal groups, meeting up to give support to each other.

Groups may be for parents or carers of children with specific conditions, children and young people with additional or specific needs or cover certain geographical areas. Support groups may offer advice over the telephone, social activities, coffee mornings, meetings and training sessions.

Short Breaks

Short Breaks is the term used to describe any sort of leisure activity a young person goes to. Watch our Short Breaks Video below made by and for young people with additional needs in Bradford district.

Max Cards (discount cards)

Max Cards (activity discount cards) are available via the Bradford Parents' Forum for families with a disabled child or young person who is in receipt of DLA at any level. Cards cost £2.50 and are valid for two years. To apply and find out more click here
